When in Doubt, Try a Different Browser!
Web applications can perform very differently depending on the Internet browser you are using. If you are having problems with a web application (such as MyCentral, Google, Blackboard, etc.) trying opening that same application in a different browser. You may suddenly see the button you were missing in the other browser, or be able to download/upload that file that was giving you trouble in the other browser.
Here's a few things we know:
For MyCentral and INB, IE8 works well.
For MyCentral and INB, IE9 works for most functions, but not all.
For MyCentral and INB, IE10 doesn't work at all.
For MyCentral and INB, Google Chrome and Firefox seem to be working well; however, these browsers have not been fully tested and certified for INB use.
For Blackboard, use the handy browser and plug in check.
If your UCM computer has been upgraded to IE9 or IE10, you may be able to roll back your IE version to IE8. If you need assistance with this, please contact the Technology Support Center.
