Overview

The UC Irvine Geometry and Topology group has diverse interests including general relativity, integrable systems, geometric evolution equations, complex geometry, symplectic geometry and topology, low-dimensional topology.  We run a weekly seminar which draws speakers from around the country.  Since 1992 we have, (jointly with UC San Diego since 2002), run the annual Southern California Geometric Analysis Seminar (SCGAS), which draws eminent speakers from around the world.  Our alumni  typically go on to top positions in academia and industry.  We actively encourage undergraduate and graduate students interested in these topics to contact us for more information regarding opportunities for research projects.
