We are the official UCI Charlie Dunlop School of Biological Sciences Peer Tutors. All of us have taken and excelled in the class we are tutoring for, and several of us have multiple quarters of tutoring under our belts. We tutor for free because we simply love teaching and helping our fellow students succeed. Along with tutoring, we can help you with anything else you need, including advice such as which professors and classes to take or how to get involved in activities like medical volunteering or research. We make weekly worksheets, hold office hours, and hold review sessions for each course; so don't hesitate to ask us anything, we are here for you!
MEET THE TEAM!
BSPT Coordinators
Hey guys! My name is Hunter and I'm stoked to be one of your Bio Sci Peer Tutoring coords for the year! I absolutely love the role and am always looking to help out my fellow Anteaters. If you have questions about classes, life, or how to get involved around campus, reach out! I'm a student too and students gotta stick together.
Anyways, I'm a third year human bio major and Spanish minor looking to go to med school with the idea of becoming a pediatrician. Outside of school, I'm an EMT, conduct eco/evo research, volunteer at KidWorks, and am a 'big' with BBBS of OC and the IE. In my free time, I surf, mountain bike, snowboard, and hike.
Again, super excited to be serving y'all and looking forward to a sick year. See you around campus!
Hi, everyone! My name is Caitlyn and I am a third-year Biological Sciences major. I tutored for Bio 93, 94, and E109 last year, and this year, I'm super excited to be a Program Coordinator for BSPT. I like to spend my free time with my friends and family, go shopping, travel, binge watch movies, and try new food! Although I am not a tutor this year, I am still available to help those who may need it! Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or just want to talk :)
Hi!! My name is Sarah and I'm excited to be one of the BSPT Coordinators this year. Last year I was a tutor for Bio 94 and Bio 97. I think this program is super special because it is FREE and easy to access. BSPT has saved me many times especially in Bio 98, whether I was struggling with an entire concept or had a question right before a midterm. Another unique aspect of this program is how its run by STUDENTS! We have taken the classes we are tutoring for, and will do our best to help you succeed. If you need any help or advice getting into research labs or classes to take, please feel free to ask any of us! We're here for you! :)
