After Prom is a free event for UHS Juniors and Seniors that provides a fun, safe alternative to risky behavior associated with Prom Night. Students don't have to go to Prom to attend. This event is entirely funded by donations from families and businesses in the UCFSD community.

After Prom REALLY Needs Your Help! Here are 3 Ways:

(1) Think Spring & Summer Fun! Think 41% Off Hershey Park Tickets! Orders Due March 23rd

The PTO After Prom Committee is again offering deeply discounted Hershey Park tickets for $40 instead of the gate price of $67.80. That's 41% off the gate price! For every 10 tickets we sell, Hershey will give us one free ticket to use as a prize at After Prom. Prizes are used for casino winners, escape room winners and raffles during the event. Food vouchers are also available for $12 per meal. The order form is attached to the E-News and must be received in the UHS office by March 23rd.

(2) Think Spring Cleaning & Regifting! Donate New Dorm Items Or Gift Cards For After Prom Prizes!

Do you have any gift cards lying around that you haven't used? Do you have any NEW & UNUSED items for the Senior who's about to go off to college that you'd like to regift, such as alarm clocks, desk lamps, throw blankets, irons, towels, extra long twin sheet sets, coffee makers, fans, over the door mirrors etc?  If so, donate them to the After Prom for our new category of raffle prizes -- "Dorm Prizes." We're hoping to collect have enough "Dorm Prizes" for every Senior who attends After Prom. If you don't have any items that qualify, please remember to donate to After Prom if you are contacted during the Phone-A-Thon or send in your donation with the form attached to the E-News.

(3)  Donate Some Time To Volunteer For After Prom! Next Meeting Wednesday, March 21st at 7pm UHS Cafeteria

We are in the crunch time for After Prom planning and we want this years' students to have just as wonderful experience as students in prior years. We are desperately short on volunteers to help decorate rooms (ideas are planned, you just have to help implement then, and we will guide you). We will also need volunteers for set up and staffing the After Prom as we get closer. This is the ENTIRE community's gift to our students to help give them a fun, safe alternative to risky behavior associated with prom night! No fee is charged to the students and they don't have to attend prom to go to after prom. PLEASE HELP!

The PTO After Prom Committee coordinates the After Prom event and funding. After Prom provides a safe and fun continuation of Prom festivities and is free for all students, whether or not they attend the Prom! We strongly encourage all students to attend this amazing event. We one have one Steering Committee member that will be returning this year and the Committee needs your help!! The majority of kids that attend Prom also attend After Prom and we want to make this year’s event a success. Volunteering is not a choice – it’s your gift to the students to ensure a safe and memorable night and we encourage parents in all grades to lend a hand.

The UHS PTO Book Sale this past weekend 

was a great success!

The regular sale on Friday and Saturday was very heavily attended, as was the bag sale on Saturday afternoon.  We reached a record $50,000 of sales for the event!  We wanted to thank the Community for their generous book donations – without the donations we would not be able to offer the wide selection of current as well as truly special one of a kind books that people have come to expect in our sale. Our sale would not have been possible without the huge amount of support that we received from our students.  The support we received from our students was phenomenal!  They participated in many aspects of the sale and we received many compliments from the Community on how helpful and hardworking they were.  Behind the scenes, the High School Custodial and District Maintenance staff worked their magic to get things in place for the sale and support us from the collection of the books through the sale.  We also wanted to thank the many parent and alumni volunteers who gave their time at all times – during the day, in the evenings and on the weekends to help get the books ready for the sale and to help run the sale.  Many student and adult volunteers signed up for extra shifts or stayed later when they recognized the need due to the larger than expected attendance and this was greatly appreciated.  The UHS PTO Book Sale was an immense undertaking and thanks to the students, parents, staff and Community it was a success!
