Please read the Welcome Letter from PTO co-presidents Kim Asarta and Lynda Nadin! We invite the community to join and actively participate in the Patton PTO. Please contact any Executive Board Officer or Committee Chairperson listed on the PTO Board Members page to volunteer or to obtain additional information about our organization.

Enrichment Funds
PTO enrichment funds provide extra enhancement to your child’s learning every day at Patton. Every enrichment request goes through a strict screening processes.  Every approved request requires multiple approvals including the principal, the PTO board and the general PTO.  Many enrichment request that come in are not funded, or may only be partially funded, by the PTO.  We look at many factors during the approval process including: Number of students each request reaches.  Can the request be used in other ways or be shared? Is the request something that should be funded by the district or other means?   What is the true benefit to the students? And many other questions too. Click here to see the list of the decisions made on the 2016 proposals.

Patton Parent University!
The PTO sponsored the first Parent University of the year on October 6. Patton principal, Tim Hoffman and teacher, John Walsh presented "Chromebooks and Canvas" to parents as part of that day's PTO Meeting. If you missed the meeting, you can view the presentation here. For more information, visit the Technology@Patton webpages for more information on Chromebooks as Canvas including information on logins and setting up parent accounts for Canvas and PowerSchool. If you were unable to attend, there will be an encore presentation at our night time Parent University on October 20 at 7 PM in the Patton auditorium.

Become a PTO Booster!
The Charles F. Patton Middle School PTO is a proactive organization providing educational enrichment to the students of C.F. Patton Middle School. To be successful, the PTO activities and programs need your support! In the past, the PTO has given financial support to the teachers and funded special projects such as purchasing equipment for a language lab, iPads to be used with the English curriculum, Smart Boards, sewing machines and Technical Education equipment. Curriculum enrichment funds supplement base materials provided by the District and enhance our kids’ learning experience. All donations are tax deductible. We also need volunteers!

Purchase a UCFSD Directory
When you complete the electronic information for the District, you will have the option to be added to the District School Directory. However, you will not be able to purchase the Directory on line – that must still be done through the PTO and will cost $8.  It will go home with the student that you list.

Volunteer Clearances Update
The PA legislature has passed new volunteer clearances rules, addressing school districts' concerns. Two State clearances will be required, but paid for by the State. Here are the volunteer clearance highlights: The definition of a volunteer remains basically the same - there were some concerns that a parent coming into school for a birthday party might need a clearance - not any longer.  The same rules we used in the past for who needs clearances will remain intact. Beginning this year, all volunteers will need 2 PA clearances, but PA will pick up the cost. Also, all volunteers who have lived in PA less than 10 years will require a Federal clearance with fingerprinting. Please see the attached for more information.

Social Media Presentation
