The National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) is currently being rolled out across the country, NRLM, through its state implementations, aims to develop a talented pool of Young Professionals with passion and training to work with the poor and potential to become development leaders.
Hiring Young Professionals for a duration of 12 months (extendable to a total of 24 months based on performance) to be deputed across Karnataka to drive several entrepreneurship and skill development initiatives across the state .
The Young Professionals will act as the CEOs of their particular cluster and manage and execute all activities as per the objectives set forth in NRLM.
The YPs are provided with an emolument of Rs 30,000 per month and are eligible for TA and DA as per KSRLPS norms.

Karnataka State Rural Livelihood Mission (KSRLM) is looking for graduating students or those graduated in MSW to be taken as Young Professionals (YP) . This is a unique opportunity for the young aspirants to get a large exciting canvas to work at the grass root level for the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) in the state of Karnataka.
The National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) is currently being rolled out across the country, NRLM, through its state implementations, aims to develop a talented pool of Young Professionals with passion and training to work with the poor and potential to become development leaders. Towards this end, the Ministry has developed the Young Professionals scheme under the NRLM. The scheme is designed to provide a well-structured exposure to YP in different thematic operations of NRLM. The YP scheme will help the professionals to learn and acquire requisite skills as well as competency to contribute in mission implementation as well as to develop a cadre of experienced professionals serving in development sector, particularly with the state poverty eradication mission. The scheme provides a unique opportunity for the YPs to learn community driven approach to fight against poverty.
In line with the objective as set by the NRLM, Sanjeevini- Karnataka State Rural Livelihoods Mission, is committed to carry out initiatives to fulfil the mission - “to reduce poverty by providing gainful wage and self-employment opportunities through DDU-GKY program”. This is a unique opportunity for the young aspirants to get a large exciting canvas to work at the grass root level for the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) in the state of Karnataka.
The National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) is currently being rolled out across the country, NRLM, through its state implementations, aims to develop a talented pool of Young Professionals with passion and training to work with poor and potential to become development leaders. Towards this end, the Ministry has developed the Young Professionals scheme under the NRLM. The scheme is designed to provide a well-structured exposure to YP in different thematic operations of NRLM. The YP scheme will help the professionals to learn and acquire requisite skills as well as competency to contribute in mission implementation as well as to develop a cadre of experienced professionals serving in development sector, particularly with state poverty eradication mission. The scheme provides a unique opportunity for the YPs to learn community driven approach to fight against poverty.
In line with the objective as set by the NRLM, Sanjeevini- Karnataka State Rural Livelihoods Mission, is committed to carry out initiatives to fulfill the mission - “to reduce poverty by providing gainful wage and self-employment opportunities through DDU-GKY program”. In order to achieve this, the state mission is looking to hire a cadre of Young Professionals for Karnataka from prestigious academic and training institutes across the country. The selection mythology will follow the test of attitude, interest, aptitude and commitment to work for the poor. Based on requirement, campus recruitment will be conducted periodically to get the YPs on board.
NRML is hiring Young Professionals for a duration of 12 months (extendable to a total of 24 months based on performance) to be deputed across Karnataka to drive several entrepreneurship and skill development initiatives across the state .
The Young Professionals will act as the CEOs of their particular cluster and manage and execute all activities as per the objectives set forth in NRLM.
The YPs are provided with an emolument of Rs 30,000 per month and are eligible for TA and DA as per KSRLPS norms.

The eligibility criteria for an individual to apply for YP will be as follows :

A combination of following attributes will be desirable for YP during selection :

JOB TITLE: Project Officer
DURATION: one year
LOCATION: Mevundi, Mundargi taluk, Gadag District, Karnataka
SALARY: Equivalent to salary of Research Associate
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a wide variety of community contacts including People with disabilities, their careers, community leaders, Members of the public, staff, volunteers and relevant partner organizations.
Work with the Training Officer to develop the DEAL Horticulture Training Centre & Organic Farm pilot project.
Use initiative for self learning and development by seeking out formal and informal opportunities.
Job Purpose:
To develop the DEAL Horticulture Training Centre & Organic Farm Pilot Project activities and provide necessary support.
Main duties:
Develop strong community links at a village, hobli and taluk level across Mundargi Taluk.
Identify people with disabilities and their careers and provide appropriate information, advice and sign posting service.
Establish contacts with relevant staff across government and non-government organizations in the taluk.
Work with internal and external colleagues to organize and carry out public awareness campaigns on disability and promote community involvement and participation across project activities.
Represent the project at external meetings and across relevant local and regional forums.
Support project staff, volunteers and take steps to see that the day-to-day project activities run efficiently and in line with project requirements.
Deal with internal and external queries and provide information, advice, materials, updates etc in relation to the project on and off site.
To work closely with other team members to ensure that good communication across the project is maintained at all times.
Identify and co-ordinate activities involving local resource persons in line with project requirements.
To take responsibility for personal learning and development and attend relevant training programmes, as required.
To take responsibility for Health & Safety considerations at work. And carry out risk assessments
To develop and promote the project services.
To organize, conduct and attend meetings taking action points as required.
To undertake a variety of tasks to assist with training and fundraising activities of the project as required.
To monitor, review, report and provide input to evaluate project activities as required.

JOB PURPOSE:
As the horticulture and organic farming technical lead and project trainer, establish a sustainable training infrastructure in order to create livelihood opportunities for people with disabilities.
Develop the project as a training and demonstration site according to the land use plan and infrastructure requirements in line with best practice.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Assess project layout, soil nutrition and environment, water quality and undertake soil enrichment activities using organic and sustainable methods and techniques.
2. Assess suitability and commence plant cultivation and propagation including production of fruits and vegetables both in outdoor and indoor environments.
3. Establish
a. A farm pond, fisheries and poultry unit and dairy unit
b. A unit for green manure crop for seed production and animal fodder,
c. A vermicomposting unit and commence production of Neem based pesticide, Jeevamritha,Beejamritha, Panchagavya and other micorrhizal bio fertilizers
4. Establish and facilitate delivery of the DEAL Horticulture Training programme covering all aspects of:
Land preparation, planting, maintenance, propagation and multiplication of plants
5. Establish the allied food processing training service for people with disabilities covering all aspects of:
Preparation of different food products and other income generating activities
Work closely with other team members to ensure that good communication across the project is maintained at all time
6. Monitor, review, report and provide input to evaluate project activities as required.
