SHIFTShaping Insights and Forecasting Trends in Politics is an international conference for graduate students, young scholars, and industry practitioners whose works would be the bedrock for future imperatives in the study of international politics.

SHIFT recognizes that, together with lessons learned from the past, the future of international politics rests on the present dynamics of relations between nations.

The conference aims to bring together brilliant young minds around the world to address the implications of the most pressing issues as we approach the second decade of the 21st century.

The Institute of Political Economy at the University of Asia and the Pacific and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations* (UNAoC) invite everyone to participate in this gathering of future policymakers, political analysts, and leaders to discuss emerging trends in the fields of international relations, political economy, human rights, civic education, governance, and culture among others.

*Unless expressly stated otherwise, views expressed at this conference are not those of the UN Alliance of Civilizations and do not represent the view of the United Nations or its Member States.
