A considerable emphasis is placed on bringing innovation in nanotechnology to market, but a staggering portion of the research-oriented student body is unfamiliar with the basic norms and terminology of commercialization. The TechComm Workshop is a one-day crash course where students learn how to develop, market, and make money off their nanotechnology ideas. It's also a great opportunity to meet successful people from the nanotechnology community.

    Technology Commercialization Workshop is a one day crash course to learn how to develop, market, and make money off your technology ideas. It is taught by angel investor and serial entrepreneur, Darryl Lesiuk. Darryl Lesiuk is CEO of Technology Commercialization Partner (TCP), with expertise in taking business concepts and developing them into long term sustainable entities. The workshop will culminate in a pitch competition where participants will pitch their business concept to a panel of judges for a split prizes amounting to $1,000!
