Welcome to the Teacher-Librarianship by Distance Learning website. This website provides support for current and future students who are interested in teacher-librarianship. The Department of Elementary Education's Master of Education program provides education for teachers who want to be teacher-librarians in elementary, middle, junior and senior high schools. You can do your studies completely online, part-time, and while working full time in schools and school libraries. The program is affordable and flexible, and infused with technology.
Students can take courses in the Master of Education program that explore leadership in inquiry, literacies, technology, and resources through meaningful learning experiences. Students become part of a community with other teachers and teacher-librarians from across the country. We strongly believe that teacher-librarians are learning specialists in schools and that a Master of Education degree provides the leadership skills necessary to take on this important role.Faculty of Education Information and Mission Statement
