LEADERSHIP TO COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS:
Led the creation of a Personal Librarian program for all of University of Alberta Libraries where first year Aboriginal students are partnered with a University of Alberta librarian in an effort to decrease library anxiety and increase student success and engagement. The project is expanding to include international students
ILAAP: Information Literacy Assessment in Alberta Program: Part of a small team of librarians who developed an information literacy assessment tool. ILAAP provides the tool free to other libraries as a mechanism to gauge student learning across North America.
Developed the award winning open source information literacy assessment software called WASSAIL.
Developed Information Literacy awards for Augustana students and faculty
Produced the DVD "It Changed the Way I Do Research: Augustana Talks Information Literacy" which was a DVD about information literacy at Augustana. Sold 300+ copies world-wide
Initiated the augustana human library: An event held in the Augustana Library each term to provide conversation related to prejudice and discrimination.
Hosted Augustana Information Literacy in Academic Libraries' Workshops between 2001 and 2015 An annual workshop of the Augustana Library offering the expertise of a high-profile international librarian as the speaker to the Canadian/American librarian participants.
