I am an AIHS postdoctoral research fellow at the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii) [former AICML], Department of Computing Science, and the Computational Psychiatry Group, Department of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta. I use machine learning techniques to generate predictive models of mental illness using large datasets of functional magnetic resonance images (fMRI). I currently work under the supervision of Professors Russell Greiner (Computing Science) and Serdar Dursun (Psychiatry), and had the opportunity to work with Drs. Irina Rish and Guillermo Cecchi, researchers at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, via a collaboration formed by the IBM Alberta Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS), who provided initial funding and support for the project.
