HUMAN IMMUNOLOGY @ uAlberta
Formed in September 2012, the uAlberta CHIN node provides a new umbrella for researchers studying human immunology in various Institutes and Centres throughout the University of Alberta and affiliated hospitals.
Led by Dr. Deborah Burshtyn and guided by a steering committee, the node will coordinate local activities including seminars by international leaders in human immunology, trainee-oriented discussion groups and events to engaged the public in broad topics involving the immune system.
The node's membership includes 20 Clinicians and 15 Scientists who are world leaders in transplantation, diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, allergy and asthma, autoimmune and viral hepatitis and immune defense to cancer.
Our works is supported by many Core Facilities situated within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and affiliated with the Institutes and Centres.
