My name is Niharika Sravan. I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Northwestern University. My Ph.D. advisor is Prof. Vicky Kalogera. My research primarily focuses on modeling the progenitors of stripped-envelope supernovae
. I am interested in the applications of statistical methods and machine learning in Astronomy.

I graduated with a B.Arch. (Hons.) degree in Architecture and a minor in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 2011.

I hail from Jamshedpur, an industrial town in eastern India. Keeping with South Indian naming conventions, my name was initially officially recorded as S. Niharika.
