Welcome parents and students to the website for Mr. Owen-Jones's English classes. Most students call me "Mr. OJ" so don't feel unusual using that name. I currently teach AP Literature and Composition, AP Language and Composition and general sophomore English. On the left you will find links to a calendar of assignments, syllabus, grades, etc. The link above to Schoology will direct you to specific content for respective courses as I upload it. At Marcos, I also sponsor freshman student class and the Board Game Club. I will often encourage students to join a club or sport. So much research points to the link between student activity and academic achievement/success (Camp, William G. The Journal of Educational Research. 1990).
