The Homecoming Dance is on October 19th.  Guest passes are now available in the Activities Office.  If you are bringing a student from another school you will need a guest pass.  You will also need your Mountain Pointe I.D.

Attention all juniors and seniors! Come to an informational meeting to learn more about how you can join Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honors Society. The meeting will be held on Sept. 19th in Mr. Waddell's room C-205 before school at 7:15am & again after school at 2:45pm. You only need to attend one of these meetings in room F113.  If you have any questions please see Ms. Kiser or Mr. Waddell..

Attention all seniors! In-State College Night is coming up on Monday, Sept 23rd from 6-8pm in the auditorium lobby. This is your chance to speak with all in-state universities, as well as, all community colleges. Please plan on attending with your parents or guardian!

All students are welcome to the Academy for Sports & Wellness Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 26 in the Gym Annex at 1:06. Questions? See Mr. Abbadessa or Mrs. Fazz.

All those interested in playing softball this spring meet in Coach Bradford's room F-142 right after school today for a quick meeting.

Join us after school in the drama room for a theater meeting join the FAM and view the special performance

Embry-Riddle University will be on campus during academic lab on Thursday, Sept 26th, to meet with any seniors interested in attending the university. You must sign up in guidance ahead of time to attend this event!

Theater movie night Friday presents Indiana Jones  ! . This Friday in the drama room at 5:00

All students participating in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes who are interested in attending this year's FCA leadership conference need to see Mr. Wakefield or Mr. Feringa for more information.  The conference is 9/21-9/22 and is scheduled to fit any practice schedule.

Any interested Junior and Senior students who would like to hear information about the NROTC or Naval ROTC Scholarship are encouraged to attend a meeting during academic lab on Tuesday, September 24th. Please sign up in guidance ahead of time to attend!

Prom Guest passes are now available in the Activities Office.  If you are taking a guest that does not go to Mountain Pointe you will need to pick up a guest pass.

Prom tickets are now available for purchase in the bookstore.  You must have your MTP student I.D. to purchase prom tickets.

Don’t forget to come and support your amazing dancers for the Spring Concert, Intensity!.  Tickets are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students.  Children 5 and under are free.  Concert is tonight and tomorrow at 7:00 in the auditorium.  Presale tickets are on sale now at the bookstore

Attention Seniors:  If you missed the Jostens graduation delivery and you have paid in full stop by the bookstore to pick up your graduation items.

Come entertain your eyes and ears at the “Broadway Gold” Pop’s concert.  Support MP Choir May 2nd and 3rd at 7:00 pm.  Tickets are $5.00 for students and $7.00 for adults.  You can catch the earlier matinee show on Friday.

In support of Sra. Sampanes’ sister-in-law, Marina, who is suffering from a rare forms of blood cancer, Mountain Pointe is running a blood drive on Saturday, May 11th from 8:00 am to noon.  For more information on how to help or how to donate blood, please contact Sra. Sampanes in room C202

Listen up students….Just a reminder that hats, cell phone, Ipods are not allowed during the school day.  This includes between class and during lunch.  If any of the items are see they will be confiscated.

"Prom - Coat Check Announcement. Help the sophomores raise money for next years Prom by checking your shoes, coat or purse for one dollar this year! As always, there will be a coat check again at Prom, however, this year it will cost one dollar to store each item."

"Freshman class shirts are now in the bookstore for those who pre-ordered last week. There is also a limited supply of extras available for $15"

The City of Chandler’s Youth and Teen Services department is offering a volunteer opportunity for teens.  Leaders in training is an educational program in which the teen will be placed in a business atmosphere within the city of Chandler and will need to display maturity and good attitude.  Stop by Actvities for more information.

Youth Alive meets again this Friday at 7:00 am in room F120.  This week we will talk about prayer.  Come and praise God with us, All are welcome to Youth Alive this Friday at 7:00 am.

Student Council Class elections will be held this Friday outside the cafeteria during both lunches.  Don’t forget to bring your I.D. and vote.

The Mountain Pointe Girls Club Lacrosse will have a Senior Recognitions Night on Friday, 4/19/13 at the Mountain Pointe High School Stadium with JV and Varsity home games. Our JV team will play Hamilton High School JV at 6:00 pm and the Varsity will face Desert Mountain High School Varsity at 8:00 pm. There will be a short ceremony between the two games to recognize our graduating student-athletes: Lauren McDonald, Sara Phister, and Jessica Zhu. The MPHS PRIDE family are invited to attend.

Your Mountain Pointe Boys Volleyball team will be having a ”Change drive” to raise money for the Child Crisis Center from April 2ndthrough the 11th. Please support the Boy’s Volleyball team in their fundraising effort by encouraging your student to bring in all your/ their spare change (and dollars if you like) and find a Volleyball player with a bucket. All volleyball players will be caring a bucket to collect the money from April 3rd through the 11th

Mountain Pointe Theatre Company presents its final show of the season, the hilarious comedy 'Harvey'. The show is today at 3:00 and the 5th and 6th @ 7pm. Tickets are $5 at the door, or can be purchased at the bookstore. Thanks for supporting the arts and MPTC, and we look forward to seeing you at the show. See Mrs. Bonagofski if you have any questions.
