Prom tickets are now at the bookstore and on sale. You will need your MTP I.D. to buy tickets.

Prom Guest passes are due on April 15th Late guest passes will not be accepted. 

Students who are doing community service for a Community Service Letter only, application logs are due today for those who are applying for a community service letter. 

Tickets for Grad Night and the Senior Trip to Six Flags/Magic Mountain are on sale, Mondays & Fridays during both lunches.  Completed and signed consent and medical forms are required with payment. You must attend Grad Night in order to attend the Senior Trip.

TUHSD Community Education is offering one more low-cost SAT Prep Seminar here at MTP on Saturday, April 25th.  This will be the final seminar this school year.  All TUHSD students are welcome, especially those who are taking the SAT on Saturday, May 2.   If you need more details stop by Guidance or the Activities office.

MPDC presents their spring dance concert "bailando" on April 16th and 17th in the auditorium at 7 pm. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and children 5 and under are free. Pre-sale tickets are available in the bookstore starting April 6. Be sure to buy your tickets now!

Tryouts for the 2015-2016 JV and Varsity cheerleading teams will be April 20th -23rd. Anyone interested in trying out must attend a mandatory meeting with at least one parent on anyone the following days: April 8th, April 14th or April 16th. Meetings will take pace in room F-236 at 6pm. Please see coach Taylor in room F-236 if you have any questions.

The Day of Silence is on Friday, April 17th.  This is a national youth movement bringing attention to the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their allies.  If you want to participate, please see Ms. Shelton in Room C203. Together we can end the silence!

Looking for community service hours?  There will be an Alport Syndrome 5K for Healthy Kidneys race on Sunday, April 19th.  They are looking for volunteers as well as participants.  Please stop by the Activities Office for more information.   This run will be at Kiwanis Park.

Call all MTP animal lovers!!  Now is your opportunity to make a difference in the lives of neglected and starving animals of Phoenix.  Please drop off your pet food donation in the front office by Friday, April 10th

Attention students volunteers are needed to time for the track meet on April 14th. If you would like to earn 5 community service hours please see Coach O'Neil in the guidance office or Mrs. Neal in the Athletic office. 

Esperanza Elementary is again seeking volunteers for our End of the Year Carnival.  The event is next Friday, April 10th from 5-8pm.  If you need more information please stop by the Activities Office.

If you are CURRENTLY registered for an AP class and would like to take an AP exam in May, you must register for the exam by this Wednesday, March 25.  Please see Mrs. Cassutt ASAP for details.

March is National Athletic Training Month.  Today's athletic training humor is: You know you're an athletic trainer if your first answer for treatment is "ice" and you're last comment to anyone is "don't forget to ice".

Certified athletic trainers are medical experts in preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries that result from physical activity.

Attention Seniors:  Senior Panoramic pictures are this Thursday at 8:00 am.  All Seniors are to meet on the football stadium. All shirts that spell out messages must be approved by administration prior to Thursday morning

Prom 2015 voting has started! Please visit Ms. Morrissey's website to vote for the King/Queen/Prince or Princess. You can only vote one time and only for the students in your class

Mountain Pointe Theatre Company presents the play "The Laramie (Lare-ah-me) Project".  Tickets are available at the bookstore, or at the event itself.  Shows are this Thursday, Friday & Saturday.  See flyers in the hall for more details and exact times.

Auditions for the last show of the year The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) is coming up on Monday March 31 @ 3:00. There will be an informational meeting in the drama room this Thursday during AcLab

The next Sports and Wellness Academy meeting is Thursday, April 2nd during AcLab.  There will be no meeting this week.

Mountain Pointe is having a Pet Food Drive through April 10th.  Many animals are abandoned and neglected and by donating pet food you can be part of the solution  Please help by donating pet food in the box located in the front office.

Athletic trainers are the people on the sidelines of all the games, taping, and passing out water, icing athletes, and more.  Without athletic trainers, athletics would be completely different.  Happy Athletic Training Month!

Are you interested in finding out more about the United States Navy?  Sign up in the Guidance Department to visit with a Navy Recruiter. She will be here during AC Lab on March 17th to tell you about the Navy's programs and answer any questions.

Now for a very important announcement for students who ride the Maricopa or South Mountain Bus.  Starting Monday, March 16th you MUST have your MTP I.D. with your bus sticker on the back in order to ride the bus.  You will be left at the bus stop if you do not have your I.D. and bus sticker.

Auditions for Mountain Pointe’s next show, the Laramie Project, is Feb. 12th from 3:00-6:00 in the drama room.  If you want to audition there is a mandatory parent meeting tonight at 6:00 in the drama room. 

Do you like to sing, read or perform in front of a live audience? The Poetry Club is sponsoring Open Mic Night on Friday, February 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. We are looking for people to sing, read poetry, play instruments, present art, and/or perform short skits.  Please see Mrs. Zahara in room F233 to sign up.

The STEM Academy will be having their month meeting this Thursday during AcLab in room F114

All Freshman Boys and Girls selected to the Advanced Leadership program will meet this Thursday during AcLab in the Auditorium.

The Key club is sponsoring a gently-used jeans drive.  We will be providing essential clothing item for kids and teens in need.  The class that collects the most pairs of jeans will win a pizza party and 20% off at Aeropostale.  The school that collects the most jeans will win $5,000, free t-shirts, and a concert by the Vamps.  To win, donate your gently used jeans to a participating 3rd period class.  The drive ends Friday, Feb. 13th. 

Attention Spring Athletes:  try-outs for spring sports will be February 9 – 13. Please make sure you have turned your sports physical packets and payment to the bookstore by Thursday, Feb. 5th to cleared to tryout.  Physical packets are online at the MTP website under Athletics

Grad Night 2015 is recycling your old electronics and computer ink cartridges for cash.  Please donate the following items in the box located in the front office.  Inkjet and toner cartridges, cell phones, laptops, MP3s, iPods, digital cameras.

Mountain Pointe Theatre Company will be putting on this year’s musical, Pinkalicious.  Show dates are this Thursday and Friday 3:00 & 6:00.  Tickets are available at the bookstore or at the ticket window. 

Attention Seniors!  You can be a hero by donating blood during Key Club’s annual blood drive on Wednesday, February 4th.  Return you minor donor permit to your English teacher or to room F211. 

Have your passed the Math AIMS test yet?  If the answer is no, then there is free AIMS tutoring available.  Please see Mr. Ray in F134 for more information.  Hurry…spots fill quickly.
