Schumacher Orthodontics Donates to TEF

Schumacher Orthodontics is happy to announce their "Smiles 4 Schools" donation of $1350 to the Teutopolis Educational Foundation.  Every time a student from our school district makes the decision to start treatment at Schumacher Orthodontics, $50 is donated back to the TEF.  The total amount for the program is now over $40,000.  Thank you for choosing Schumacher Orthodontics and helping the TEF help our students.

Shown in the picture are TEF President Brett Walker, Unit #50 Superintendent Bill Fritcher, Dr. Charles Schumacher, TEF Treasurer Rhonda Meyer, and TEF Board Member Matt Weidner.

Use Amazon Smile to Help the TEF

For those Amazon shoppers out there, did you know they will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to the charitable organizations selected by customers. The only thing you have to do is when shopping on Amazon, go to smile.amazon.com and then shop as normal.

Read about how to do it at the link below. It is very easy to set up. We would love it if you chose the TEF, but most charities are listed there. So if you shop at Amazon, you might as well be supporting one of those charities.

Shop for everyone on your gift list this holiday at smile.amazon.com/ch/37-1382790 and Amazon donates to Teutopolis Educational Foundation.

Recycling Drive Totals
We got our totals back from the Recycling company. We got a check for $675 and collected 29,300 pounds of material. That's a lot of recyclables. Thanks again for your donations.  Pictured below are some of the THS FFA members who helped the day of the event and the loaded trucks.

Survivor Football is Back

Once again the Teutopolis Educational Foundation(TEF) is sponsoring a Survivor Football Pool.  The flyer with instructions can be accessed by using the link below.  Please forward this on to anyone who may be interested.  Last year we payed out $780, and we are hoping for more participants this year.

Please note that if you played last year, you should have received an email earlier this week from the website, runyourpool.com, that contained a link to our pool.  That link will work best for people who participated last year, as it will fill in your previous user name.

However, for our rookies who want to play,  use the link in the flyer.
Thanks for playing.

NEW LOGO!

Pictured: Nikki Bloemer (TEF President), Kendal Zerrusen (logo artist), Emily Petty (art teacher)

When the Teutopolis Educational Foundation decided it was time to update its logo, the members decided to utilize some of Teutopolis Unit #50’s most talented individuals, the students. Mrs. Petty, the art teacher, helped organize a contest among junior high and high school students to create a new logo. The number of creative, artistic, and unique pieces made choosing one winner challenging. In the end, Kendal Zerrusen, a freshman at THS, was named the winner. He was awarded with an Amazon gift card, and he will now see his logo everywhere TEF is involved! Congrats Kendal, and thank you for your time and effort; we are proud of you!

Class of 1980 Donation
Thank you to the Class of 1980 for the $255 donation. What a great way to give back to Teutopolis Unit #50!

Attention THS Class Reunion Chairmen
Do you have a class reunion coming up? What better way to give back than to support the TEF?? Contact a TEF member for ideas. Please see the attached letter for more information.

Smiles for Schools

Thank you also to Schumacher Orthodontics, who now gives an amount to TEF for each Unit #50 student who is a patient! Help support TEF by choosing Schumacher Orthodontics for your smile needs!!
