Educated Opinion from one who has not seen the camp - "It is the most beautiful and if you go to the website for each of these three and read through the leaders guide, Daniel Boone has a lot of activities for scouts and a lot of amenities for the leaders.  They even have a Wednesday night fresh trout fish fry for the leaders only.  The OA ceremony is supposed to be good.
The lake will be colder than the other two options.  A BIG plus it that Daniel Boone offers the cheapest raft trip at $30.
Another benefit for Camp Daniel Boone is the limited bug population in the mountains.  The camp is in the Smokey Mountain region so we have a great chance of waking up to cool mountain mornings."

Educated Opinion from one who has not seen the camp - "They have a nice dining hall and looks like a good camp.  Nice merit badge program. They offer FIVE eagle merit badges. They are also the camp that offers “group merit badges”.  Camp Hale did this also with several subjects.  It’s how one of our scouts came back with 9.   Not trying to turn camp into a merit badge mill, but if you sit in class for a week at summer camp and can get 6 or 7 instead of 4, it does tend to boost a Scout’s confidence a great deal.  I have noticed a lot more scouts wearing their merit badge sash at meetings after the Teen Cert program.  They like to show off what they achieved.  Camp Skymont offers the most adventurous white water, but at $70.  They have a lot of hiking trails around camp because they claim to have beautiful scenery."
