My name is Laura (Strandell) Lee. The 2018-2019 school-year will be my sixth year teaching at Triton. In addition to teaching, I am the varsity KMT gymnastics coach.
A little about me…
I graduated from Pine Island High School. During high school, I was actively involved in music, theater, and athletics. I was a 3-year starter on the Pine Island varsity softball team. I was also a 5-year starter on the Pine Island gymnastics team. I was a member of the 2006 Class A state participant team and the 2007 Class A runner-up team. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in History and Social Studies Secondary Education from Augsburg College. In addition to my studies, I was a four-year starter on their softball team.
I spent the 2012-2013 academic year teaching English in Chongqing City, China. I taught English to 3 year old children in a preschool. It was a wonderful experience that I learned a lot from. Ask me about it sometime and maybe I will teach you a word or two in Chinese!
I am also married and have one son, Logan, who was born on June 13, 2018. My husband's name is Jordan.
What I will be teaching…
I teach 6th grade Minnesota History and 7th grade American History.
