Extended Learning Center

The Extended Learning Center (ELC) provides multiple areas of academic support for all Topeka West students.  Staffed by certified teachers and paraprofessionals and assisted by numerous certified and college student tutors, the ELC can assist students with almost any subject area, provide credit recovery courses for students who have previously failed a class, ACT test prep instruction, test make up opportunities, and just a quiet, supportive environment for study. A math tutor is also available during Charger Time.  Students can self-refer for these tutorial services before or after school or during Charger Time. To be tutored during classes, a student must be referred by a teacher or counselor. Computer access is also available for individual students or entire classes.
The ELC is open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday;
7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
