I graduated from Fort Hays State University in 1992 with a B.S. in Biology. In 2012, I graduated from Flint Hills Technical College with my Associates degree in Culinary Arts.
I have enjoyed teaching for many years. I started teaching in USD 501 in 2014. I am excited to be teaching culinary classes. Since every person eats, every person should know something about food preparations, nutrition, and food safety. Culinary Essentials is the first class for students interested in food as a possible career.
Culinary Arts I and II is preparing students for employment in the restaurant and food/beverage industry. Students will work on getting their food handlers certificate as well furthering their understanding of food preparation from culinary essentials.
