Background Information:
I am originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and I am a huge sports fan..... which gives me the opportunity to say Boomer Sooner!.... and Thunder Up!  More than sports, I love learning and academics!  I attended Iowa State University where I received my first degree in Business Administration in 1993.  Later, my love for people led me to pursue a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology.  Upon receiving my Master's I worked for a few years as a Regional Program Coordinator for the Kansas Kids at GEAR UP program. Working with GEAR UP connected me with my passion for teaching and my desire to invest in the lives of young people. This connection led me back to school where I studied and prepared to became a certified teacher of Psychology and Spanish.  I love teaching Spanish, I love the culture, I love the food, and I love being at THS!

About My Traveling:

Sueños de una maestra de español

My goal is not only to help students learn to communicate in Spanish and to learn about Latin American culture, but to engage them in an experience that will help them grow and develop into global ambassadors of the future.  This dream is probably inspired by my own love of traveling and exploring the Latin American part of the world.  My Spanish Adventures have taken me to 2 other continents and have allowed me to make friends all over the world.  It is my pleasure to share just a few highlights of my adventures with you...I hope you are inspired to expand your own horizons and consider traversing our borders to explore the world beyond.
