Background Information
I'm a native of New Orleans, LA. I've been married to my college sweetheart, Shirley since 1984. We have three children, Andre, Shaniell, and Rodney Jr. (2 of which have graduated from THS). I have 6 grandchildren ranging from ages 3 to 15 years old. In my leisure time I enjoy travelling to visit my children and grandchildren. When I am not travelling to visit my children, my wife and I enjoy going on cruises. My hobbies are attending and watching sporting events, and collecting New Orleans Saints Memorabilia (My more prized possession is an autographed Drew Brees football).
I completed my undergraduate degree from Southern University in baton Rouge, LA in 1983. I began teaching at Topeka High School in the fall of 1983 as an Industrial Technology Teacher (Woodworking, another one of my hobbies). While, teaching in the classroom, I coached basketball (1986 State Championship), Football, and Track and Field. I have also, been a part of various organizations and clubs that THS has to offer. After 14 years in the classroom, and earning a Master in Education Administration from Washburn University. I accepted my current position as an Assistant Principal in the fall of 1997. I have been blessed to have worked with and continue to work with outstanding professionals who believe that all of the students entering Topeka High School can learn. Our students enter THS daily to learn and depart to serve.

Some of my personal motto's
"You must know them to show them"
"You must reach them to teach"
