Mr. Eric Bradshaw

Mr. Eric Bradshaw currently serves as the Director of Bands at Topeka High School.  At THS, he  works with the Trojan Band, Freshmen Band, Jazz Band, and Advanced Jazz Ensemble. Mr. Bradshaw received his Bachelor of Science in music education and Master of Music in tuba performance from the University of Alabama.

Eric’s professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, Kansas Music Educators Association, College Band Directors National Association, College Music Society, and International Tuba Euphonium Association. Eric is also a member of Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society, and an honorary member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and Tau Beta Sigma.

Prior to moving to the Topeka area, Mr. Bradshaw served as the Director of Athletic Bands at Valdosta State University (Valdosta, GA) from 2002 - 2016 and taught in the public school system in Carroll County, GA from 1997 - 2002. During this time, Eric was also active as a tuba performer in several regional orchestras, clinician for many high school honor bands, and adjudicator for high school marching and concert festivals.

Eric's hobbies and interests include: boating, traveling, spending time with family and friends, playing golf, and good food.  He is also a huge Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins fan and life-long (and die-hard) University of Alabama Fan (Roll Tide!).

Eric has twin sons, Andrew and Ryan, that are junior engineering majors at Georgia Tech (in Atlanta, GA).
