Dear Parents, Guardians and Students:
Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year!! I am so excited to see all of our students and families who are returning this year. I hope that your students had an enjoyable summer and that they are excited to begin a new school year.
Parents and students will notice a lot of new changes at McClure this year. There will be some wonderful new staff at McClure, as well as some new programming that will be fun and exciting! We will continue to provide our parents with many opportunities to be involved in our educational programs. One of our focuses this year will be getting our McClure Dads involved with the Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) Program.
Our biggest and exciting additions to our school programming will be the implementation of Character Counts and the Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports (PBIS) programs. These programs are intended to help build positive relationships, improve school climate and student behaviors, as well has improve students’ academic performance. These program will need our parents support in order to ensure the success of our students. We encourage every parent to join us this year in learning more about how to help your student be more successful in school.
