
Kansas Academic Standards Assessments The Kansas Academic Standards give school districts a framework to design their curriculum, instruction, testing and teacher development. academic standards spell out what students should know and be able to do at various stages in their schooling. Adapted from Kansas Assessment Program 2016 Parent Guide HIGH PRAISE FOR HPC Highland Park Central Elementary was the only school in the district to increases on the state assessments in both reading and math at all three tested grade levels from third through fifth grade. Individual student scores are expected in the next sixty days. Parents will be notified when those have been released from the state. Congratulations teachers and students for a job well done!
