Hello, my name is Will Ramsell and I’m currently your son or daughters teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. This will be my ninth year at Tecumseh High School.

Currently Teaching: AP Calculus AB and Pre-Calculus

Coach: THS Equation's Team (JV and Varsity)

This will be a very complex and busy year for me but it will also be a very rewarding and exciting year for students as I'm trying to incorporate many new techniques to help make every student successful. I have spent most of the summer preparing to make this year better, for both myself and the students. I have the best interest of your student at heart and if you don't believe me, you can ask many of the parents of the students from the past few years. I believe there is a calling out there for all of us and mine is teaching.

With AP Calculus AB, I want to:
  • Prepare students to take the AP Calculus AB exam, in hopes off all students passing this year
  • Prepare students for higher level math courses at the college level and after AP Calculus AB
  • Make sure the weekend reviews do a better job spiraling past concepts with AP Questions
  • Help students enjoy and appreciate what AP Calculus AB has to offer
With Pre-Calculus, I want to:
  • Prepare students to take the AP Calculus AB the following year
  • Prepare students for higher level math courses and prepare them for college entrance exams
  • Prepare students for the SAT
  • Help students enjoy Pre-Calculus and help them realize they can handle higher level math! :)

Subject Integration

Math is a subject that is found throughout all subjects in school and life. You deal with math in History, English, Science, etc. Knowing how to graph formulas and equations in a math class can be critical when someone is working in a laboratory in a physics class or a chemistry class. Researchers in medicine rely heavily on math when conducting experiments to find cures for cancers and diseases. Understanding algebra in general, will allow someone to build on their problem solving skills, both in the classroom and also out there in the real world as well.

My goals for the class are to prolong continuous learning in life, preparedness for the future, responsibility, and to help students develop critical thinking and problem solving skills that they can use throughout life. This is very important to me. If you have any comments, concerns, or questions, feel free to contact me at any time. Thank you for your time and I’m looking forward to a fun filled semester with each and everyone of your students!!
