The teachers here in Ronda participate in professional development activities just like they do in Vermont. I was invited to join "English Teachers in the Countryside". The first trip was the White Village walk that I wrote about (JUZCAR-AKA PUEBLO PITUFO). For the second excursion we were sent on a scavenger hunt. We worked in small groups. Each group, with their folder of maps and clues, set off on foot for a 6 hour, 13 km adventure in the countryside surrounding Ronda. Along the way we had to answer questions, find objects and take photos to prove we were there. Our final destination was the Cueva Hundidero* where a "treasure" awaited us. What a great way to learn and experience the surrounding area.
