Before Joining the Ohio Democratic Party as Ethnic Outreach Caucus Director, Omar Humadi worked as Hillary Clinton's Regional Field Director in Rochester, New Hampshire on her Presidential Campaign. During his time there he managed a staff of three reaching voters throughout Strafford County and building relationships with voter's on their issues. Prior to this he spent close to two years as the Assistant Director of the National Office of Grassroots Campaigns Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts. There he ran a staff of 20+ engaging fundraising support for the Democratic National Committee's 50 State Strategy.
Omar was born in St. Louis, MO. and was raised in both Southern Illinois and Central Wisconsin, as well as living several years in Baghdad, Iraq as a child. He hold a Bachelors Degree from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in Sociology, a Masters Degree from the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University in Public Administration, and is halfway through law school at Suffolk University School of Law in Boston, MA, but is on a five year hiatus, granted by his Dean, to work in the political field. Omar and his wife Wassan currently reside in Columbus, Ohio.
