TOUR ITINERARY
SEP. 01 (TUE) HONOLULU
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via JAPAN AIRLINES flight. Lunch and a snack will be served aboard the flight. Free Movies and Drinks. 

SEP. 02 (WED) NARITA / CHITOSE,
ANA CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL CHITOSE 
Arrive at Chitose Int'l Airport in Hokkaido, and after Government formalities, go directly to the hotel (15 minutes by bus from the airport). 

SEP. 03 (THU) ASAHIKAWA,
HOTEL WBF GRANDE ASAHIKAWA {ONSEN} ♨ 
Visit beautiful Yuni Garden, Japan’s biggest English style garden filled with a variety of flowers in season. We will see Cosmos, Salvia, Rose etc., blooming magnificently in vast grounds (if timing is right). Its store carries original jams, herb teas, local pickles, etc., which make perfect souvenirs. Later we will enjoy seasonal Fruit Picking (Sumomo Plum or Prune depends on climate of the year). Taste fresh Japanese fruit in season. Then enjoy shopping at Sunagawa Highway Oasis with many varieties of local specialties in Hokkaido. You can buy most of famous souvenirs in Hokkaido at the shop. Then go to Asahikawa, 2nd biggest city in Hokkaido. Hotel is located close to Asahikawa Train station and Aeon Shopping Center. After hotel arrival tour guide will take you Holo-Holo near the hotel. Soak and relax in Onsen Hot spring bath. 

SEP. 04 (FRI) ASAHIKAWA,
HOTEL WBF GRANDE ASAHIKAWA {ONSEN} ♨ 
In the morning, head to Daisetsuzan National Park where we are supposed to be able to see Japan’s earliest “Momiji” Autumn leaves. Ride an Asahidake Ropeway to go up to main peak of Taisetsu Mountain range (5,249 ft) which is called “Roof of Hokkaido”. Mt. Asahidake is the highest mountain in Hokkaido (7,513 ft) and the very 1st place to start turning its color to Autumn Color in Japan. Enjoy superb view of great nature with magnificent Autumn color. Later visit Otokoyama Sake Brewery which makes the “Best Sake” not only in Hokkaido but also both within Japan and worldwide. Learn its history at the museum and taste their Fresh Sake which you can purchase. After going back to the hotel, it will be your free time to continue shopping or relax at the Onsen Hot spring bath. 

SEP. 05 (SAT) WAKKANAI,
WAKKANAI GRAND HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨ 
Head to the northern most city in Japan “Wakkanai” sandwiched between the Japan Sea and the Okhotsk Sea with inimitable sceneries. On the way, visit Sturgeon Aquarium located by Teshio river where Sturgeon used to run up the river. You can see Sturgeon which referred to as "Primitive fish" up close. Then go to Reindeer Farm. They raise 60 reindeers brought from Finland. You can try feeding them if you wish to. Then proceed to Wakkanai with passing Rishiri-Rebun-Sarobetsu National Park, the northernmost National park in Japan. Our hotel is located in downtown area of the city. Enjoy the relaxing Hot Spring Bath and a delicious Sukiyaki dinner with Crab in the evening. 

SEP. 06 (SUN) REBUN ISLAND - RISHIRI ISLAND,
ISLAND INN RISHIRI (ONSEN) ♨ 
Early breakfast and early departure but have an interesting journey to "The Northern most island in Japan" Rebun Island which often called “The Undiscovered retreat of Hokkaido”. Upon arrival on island by ferry, transfer to bus to South of the island which characterized by a scenic steep coastline. We will visit the observatory look down island's most popular landmark Neko (Cat) Rock and Momo (Peach) Rock distinctively shaped huge rocks look like Cat and Peach. Later head to Cape Sukoton, the northern most view point where overlook Soya Strait with uninhabited island “Sea Lion Island”. Later visit Cape Sukai, known as the best point to view magnificently beautiful Rebun’s blue sea with sheer cliffs of the unexplored region. Then catch ferry to Rishiri Island with its symbol Mt. Rishiri (5,646 ft) in the center of the island. After arrival, go to the hotel located close to park offers superb scenery. Soak and relax in Onsen Hot Spring bath and Open air Bath overlooks Japan Sea and Rebun Island. Enjoy Buffet dinner with many fresh local seafood, Konbu seaweed, vegetables, etc. 

SEP. 07 (MON) WAKKANAI,
WAKKANAI GRAND HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨ 
Explore around fascinating Rishiri Island offers tranquil, peaceful and lovely sea and mountain views. Rishiri island produces one of the best three Konbu seaweeds in Japan. It has exquisite quality and used by many high class Japanese restaurants. We will visit Kamui Beach Park to learn about Konbu and enjoy hands on experience "Cutting dried Konbu" to take home. Later visit Senhoushi Misaki Park, affords the best view of oddly shaped rocks and Mt. Rishiri which is often called ”Northernmost Mt. Fuji”. At the store you can purchase famous Rishiri Konbu also. And visit one of Island’s best scenic spots Otatomari Pond which is the biggest pond on the island. The view of the clear blue waters of the pond with Mt. Rishiri as backdrop is just splendid. Also visit Himenuma Pond. It is hidden Spot filled by primeval forest. You can take a peaceful walk around the pond with a spectacular view of lush green forest. Then catch a ferry going back to Wakkanai. Upon arrival at the hotel, Soak and relax in Onsen Hot Spring bath. 

SEP. 08 (TUE) LAKE SAROMA,
LAKE SAROMA TSURUGA RESORT (ONSEN) ♨ 
Visit Cape Soya, the northernmost tip of Japan and surrounded by the ocean on three sides. There is a monument that indicates this cape to be "Japan's northernmost piece of real estate". You can also see Sakhalin Island (Russian held) on a clear day. Then drive along the Okhotsk sea to Monbetsu and visit Tokkari Seals Center which is the only one specialty care center for injured seals in Japan. We will see lovely seals up close and watch feeding. Then head to picturesque Lake Saroma, the third largest lake in Japan. Our accommodation is nice resort hotel facing to the lake. Enjoy buffet dinner featuring local sea foods etc., and relaxing another warm Hot Spring Bath and Open air Rotenburo Bath with a beautiful lake view. 

SEP. 09 (WED) LAKE KUSSHARO,
KUSSHARO PRINCE HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨ 
Head to Lake Notori to see the crimson Coral Grass spreads in the lakeside as if a red carpet. Lake Notori is the biggest colony of this very rare plant that can be seen only this time of season. (Brightness of the color depends on the climate of the year). Later go to Abashiri to visit Mt. Tento Flower Garden where seasonal flowers will bloom during this time of season. If timing is right, huge garden will be filled with colorful flowers such as Marigold, Cockscomb, etc. Then visit Okhotsk Ice Floe Museum renewed in 2015. You can experience the beautiful "World of Drift Ice" through the new 3-D projection mapping with the illusionary effect of light and sound. And you will get a chance to see and touch real drift ice in freezing experience room that is kept 5° Fahrenheit that makes you experience how cold it can be in Abashiri in winter. Then head to Lake Kussharo, Japan’s biggest caldera lake with passing Bihoro Pass overlooking beautiful Lake. Our hotel is located by the lake and one of the top resort hotels in eastern Hokkaido. Soak and Relax in Onsen Hot spring bath and Open Air Bath. 

SEP. 10 (THU) OBIHIRO,
HOTEL NIKKO NORTH LAND OBIHIRO 
The lake Kussharo's shore is dotted with many open-air hot spring baths. We will visit Sunayu Beach (Sand bath). If you touch the sandy ground along the lakeside, you will find it's hot! Later enjoy riding a seasonal sightseeing train “Norokko Train” that leisurely passes through large and unbroken expanse of Kushiro Marsh National Park which preserve Japan's largest wetland and marsh habitat which registered under the Ramsar Convention. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery as the Kushiro River runs its course just as leisurely as you do through the marshes. The train moves slowly along, giving you time to enjoy the wetlands' highlights passing by the window. Upon arrival at Kushiro Station, transfer to the bus to Obihiro. This region is called "Tokachi", once called “Real Hokkaido is here”. Hotel is located right next to Obihiro train Station and its shopping building. And easy walking distance to supermarket. Enjoy shopping after hotel check in. 

SEP. 11 (FRI) SAPPORO,
CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL 
Walk to Obihiro station and Catch an Express Train “Super Ozora”. This train is a popular for tourists who travel around Hokkaido. Upon arrival at Minami Chitose station, transfer by bus to Ecorin Village, a vast farm theme park with animals, plants and flowers in a great nature. You can encounter lovely animals such as Sheep, Llamas and Alpacas and see their "Sheep show". And you will get a chance to enjoy a farm tour on a tractor that speeds across the pastures. Then head to Sapporo, largest city in Hokkaido. Hotel is located next to Sapporo station with Department Store and Underground Shopping mall. After hotel check in, your tour guides will take you Holo Holo around the hotel. 

SEP. 12 (SAT) SAPPORO,
CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL 
Visit the Asahi Beer Brewery, a leading brewery which is the largest of the beer producers in Japan. View the process of making "Asahi Super Dry" and taste the freshly brewed Asahi Beer! Then go to Aeon Shopping mall for lunch and shopping. And visit Sapporo Wholesale Market. You can buy dried seafood items, local specialties, etc., at the wholesale price. Upon hotel arrival, Free time to continue shopping, packing etc. (Lunch and Dinner will be at your own expense.) 

SEP. 13 (SUN) HONOLULU
We will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. Afternoon proceed to Chitose Airport to catch a domestic flight to Kansai Int'l airport then transfer to international flight to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu, the same morning 13 September (Sunday) and after clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home. (Lunch and Dinner will be at your own expense.) 

Clients remaining back will be assisted in obtaining train, plane and hotel reservations. Members may return to Honolulu individually, but no later than 3 months from day of departure. Weekday returns will cost less per person. Please call our office for more details. MAHALO!
