 Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Vamban, Pudukkottai under the aegis of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University was established on 01.04.2004 at Vamban in Pudukkottai district.   The main focus of KVK is to conduct. Front Line demonstration On farm trial and On campus training, Off campus trainings to transfer new technologies to farmers.  

KVK farm comprises an area of 25.6 ha.  The soil type is red lateritic and acidic pH. The average maximum temperature is 37.8o C and the minimum temperature is 20.7 C with annual mean rainfall of 881 mm in 45 rainy days. The centre is situated 12 km away from Pudukkottai on the Pudukkottai - Alangudi - Pattukkottai main road, at a Latitude : 11˚30‘ N and Longitude: 79˚28‘ Popularization of pulses varieties released from NPRC, Vamban is taken up through trainings and cluster FLD programmes
