Here's a little bit about my background...
Robert Kirchman currently holds the position of Management Professor in the Division of Business at Truckee Meadows Community College, where he teaches classes in Management, Economics, Business, and Marketing. In addition to teaching, Robert is a member of the TMCC Faculty Senate, representing the Division of Business.
Robert was most recently Director of Business Development at Cambridge Energy Research Associates, a premier provider of market outlook and consulting services about the energy industry.
Prior to his engagement at CERA Robert was Vice President of Corporate Marketing for Callixa Corporation, an industry innovator in data integration products and services.
Before joining Callixa, Robert was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Energy Interactive (now part of ABB), a provider of hosted b-to-b services, and client/server and Windowsã software for the electric power industry.
Before leading sales and marketing at Energy Interactive, Robert was Global Business Manager, Energy Industries, for Sybase, where he was responsible for the development and execution of Sybase’s worldwide energy marketing plan.
Prior to working at Sybase, Robert was Vice President, Sales and Client Services at Faneuil Information Systems Group, a provider of customer management services such as customer satisfaction and other market-related programs. While at Faneuil, Robert concentrated on the utility and transportation industries.
Prior to working at Faneuil, Robert was Principal and Director, Utilities and State and Local Government Group at DRI/McGraw-Hill (now IHS Global Insight), a provider of economic information and market and policy analysis services. In this capacity, he worked with numerous utilities in the areas of service territory, load, and peak demand forecasting, fuel planning and price forecasting, cost forecasting, and other analysis, planning, and policy areas.
Robert earned the A.B. in Economics from Occidental College in Los Angeles, the M.B.A. from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, and the M.S in Economics from the University of Nevada Reno.
