Dear TJCA-CFA Families:

Fall is in full swing, and that must mean it is time to get excited about our annual Fall Festival at the grammar school!  This year's great event will take place on Thursday afternoon October 19th from 4-8PM as part of our fall break weekend.  Note that students will have a Noon Release on October 19th, and there will be no school on Friday, October 20th.  In addition to a great evening of fall fun, we hope many high school students will use Friday the 20th as a fall college visitation day.

As one of the founding charter school members of the NC Alliance of Public Charter Schools, we want to begin sharing a new resource provided by the Alliance.  Please enjoy this new monthly publication linked here:

Our fall sports teams are doing so well and we encourage you to support them at many home sporting events this month. Please check our website calendar for details, and note too that all home and away varsity games are listed on the maxpreps website at MaxPreps TJCA and cross country information can be found here:

We want to take this opportunity to thank our great families for a very successful Book Fair in September!  It was clear from the activities that week that students, parents, and staff all had a memorable time.

With the holiday season quickly approaching, we ask that you consider helping children in need with our Toys For Tots drive, beginning October 2nd.  Collection bins for new toys will be at the high school building, middle school building and there will be two bins at the grammar school.  Thank you!

The early bird gets the discounts!  The ordering portal is now open for you to order your discounted 17/18 yearbook.  Please click here to order:          2018YearbookOrders

SENIOR PARENTS:  You can custom order Senior Ads for your graduate. These are due by October 31:

2020 Vision Update!

We are adding this new section to our monthly newsletters to update you on our new site development and building plans for our 2020 Vision plan.  After our board approved the new plan at the September 5th board meeting, we have spent the last several weeks pulling together many documents required for our low rate financing application with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).   We are also working on building design details for our new 9th-12th grade building with our architectural firm, Little Diversified Architectural Consulting. We hope to have the plan ready by the end of October, and we will tentatively hold an Open House for families on Thursday evening, November 9th from 6-8PM to share exciting details with our school community.  Please mark your calendars and stay tuned!

As a reminder, we respectfully request that our bus riding families consider a $50 per month donation to help keep our buses running.  If writing a check, please add 'bus donation' in the memo line, and mail to attn:
Finance Office on the upper campus, or drop a check off at any of the offices. Thank you!
