Brighton High School has been participating in the News Channel 3 Knowledge Bowl for many years, first in a team combined with Munford High School and then since the 2012-2013 school year with a team of their own.  The news station will randomly select area teams to participate each year, but BHS is often chosen and prizes do include college scholarships!  BHS also participates in a few local competitions during the fall and early winter, an occasional on-line competition, and in practices with Munford High School weekly.  Dates have not been announced for any of these.

The team for the 2025-2026 school year will be selected in August.  Try-outs will be posted and announced.  The try-outs will consist of 2-3 short paper tests and a competiton simulation using buzzers.  We will start immediately after school ends and go until approximately 4:15 pm.  Please watch the TVs in the lobby and the cafeteria and listen to the announcements for that date!
