Morning assembly

Morning talk conducted by the Hong Kong Anti-doping Committee, Sports Federation and Olympics Committee of Hong Kong, China in 2012.

Another Talk given by The Hong Kong Anti-Doping Committee 香港運動禁藥委員會 in 2013

Brief history of the Committee:

In Hong Kong, the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) accepted the World Anti-Doping Code in March 2004. The Elite Sports Committee (ESC) have begun discussing the need to set up an anti-doping organization in Hong Kong for fulfilling the requirement of World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) since 2006. It was the general view of the ESC that an anti-doping organization should be set up in Hong Kong and operates under the auspices of the SF&OC. Hong Kong's anti-doping program will be implemented by an independent committee under the SF&OC. The Hong Kong Anti-Doping Committee (HKADC) was therefore set up in April 2008 and its office started its operation in September 2008.

We were so glad to invite 2 guest speakers from the Committee in Mar 11, 2013 to deliver a talk for our F.3 P.E. elective students. A variety of topics related to drug taking were covered in the talk, for example the big scandal of drug taking by the famous cyclist - world champion Lance Armstrong and many other similar cases as well. The talk was really interesting and was able to motivate students to learn more in that aspect.
