Winners of the 2017 Battle of the Books

All children are encouraged to check out books during their weekly scheduled visit with their class to the library or may stop in during a free time to check out a book. Students are encouraged to check out books at their reading level but children are not denied a book because it is above or below their reading level.  The number of books a student may check out is determined by grade level and individual responsibility for returning materials.  Students are encouraged to read and be responsible users of books.

No fines are charged for late books but kindergarten through 3rd grade children are expected to return books weekly. 4-6 grade students may have their books checked out for two weeks and can renew as needed. Students will receive an overdue notice once their books are more than two weeks late. The librarian will attempt to call or email parents/guardians if books are four or more weeks late.  Students with missing or damaged books will be billed at the end of the school year.
