Feeding the Homeless on Thanksgiving

posted Dec 4, 2013, 10:02 PM by Mark Gomez
For over a decade the Boys to Men program has been feeding the homeless of Los Angeles on Skid Row every Thanksgiving Holiday. The tradition brings our young people pride in community and teaches them service and empathy in the name of all humanity.

This year the students fed about 200 homeless residents. Vounteers consisted of graduates of the Boys to Men program, current students, and parents, totaling 30 in all. Boys to Men members represented institutions from ICEF Lou Dantzler, John Muir Middle School, Augustus Hawkins High School, Santa Monica City College, and UCLA.

Our young men and women continue to develop character that follows them throughout their lives, no matter the paths they choose to follow.
