SYNOPSIS: Rhapsode longs to write down on parchment the songs in her head, about men and gods and a war on Troy. But she’s also busy preempting her husband’s governmental coup, and anyway writing’s illegal, and even more anyway, she doesn’t know how. But then she discovers her slave Kleo does. While the Iliad transpires in counterpoint, the women risk their lives to accomplish something unknown: writing a story for the men of the future.
