My name is Amy Delashmit, and I am very excited to welcome you and your child to my classroom this year. I graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and an endorsement in teaching English as a second language. I have recently finished my student teaching in an elementary school setting which was done here in the United States as well as overseas in Mexico, and I have in-class experience that ranges from grades pre-k through high school. Apart from that, I love getting involved in my community by volunteering for local parks and environmental cleanup projects. I also enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and learning about new languages and customs.
I am very eager to meet as well as get to know each and every one of the students in my class and their parents. Kindergarten is a very special year for you and your child. To enhance their experience, I will create a strong sense of community as well as prepare activities that are welcoming, engaging, fun, and interactive. I look forward to being a part of your child’s education as they progress academically and socially throughout the year.
It is thrilling to be part of the founding staff here at The Museum School, and I am looking forward to a great school year. I hope you and your child are enjoying your summer activity packet. Since the school year is just around the corner, I have attached a supply and wish list for you to begin to prepare for the upcoming year. The supply list includes items that the students will need throughout the year, and the wish list includes items that are not necessary but will help add to the organization and comfort of the room. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Go Explorers!
