What a wonderful Spring Party it was!! Huge thanks to all the organizers, helpers, contributers, party-ers, bidders! It was a super fun and a smashing success!!

It’s a busy time as the school year finishes up. Please read through the Upcoming Events so you can plan and prioritize.

I am very pleased to announce that this year all of our 5th graders will be participating in Roundtable Panels in Mathematics!!
The Roundtable process is a set of performance assessment tasks to evaluate each student’s mathematical learning and middle school preparedness. First, students complete a series of math problems during class. On the day of the Roundtables, students present their thinking and solutions to the panel of peer and adults evaluators. Each student also tackles a new problem in front of the panel. The evaluators give each student written feedback using a rubric.

Participating in the Roundtable process requires that students are prepared to articulate and defend their work to peers, community members, and “outside” guests, including teachers, school leaders, parents, and other public education stakeholders. It is a rigorous form of assessment that builds important scholarship skills and demonstrates the Earth School’s high standards for learning.

The Roundtables will take place on Friday, 5/10 from 1:00 - 2:50 p.m. Please note: It is a full day of school for 5th graders and a half day for Pre-K - Grade 4 (11:55 a.m. dismissal).

Date change: The Earth School Rocks!! Our award-winning parent band will play for students and families on Wed, May 8, at 2:00 p.m. in the auditorium.

We are working on admissions for 2019 – 2020. Please let us know if your child(ren) will be returning for next year (we hope so!) by completing this quick survey. If your child is graduating, it is not necessary to respond. https://forms.gle/cJqyyHpYbc71vTXW6.
