Lorna Doone Apartment, Watchet
Lorna Doone Apartment is the ideal base for couples looking to stay near the coast and in the ancient harbour town of Watchet. The property is a ground floor studio apartment with level entry access (making it wheelchair accessible) in a newly constructed complex.  There is a two-seater sofa in the living area and a small table and chairs for eating. Adjoining the living area is the bedroom with double bed; the bathroom is fitted with a shower cubical, toilet and basin. 

Only a stone's throw from the harbour at Watchet and the West Somerset Railway station, Lorna Doone Apartment is a fabulous base for active or relaxing holidays; it's an ideal spot for sightseeing, walking, maritime holidays and exploring the steam railway. 

Watchet is nestled on the coastline, westwards is Exmoor, southwards the Brendon Hills and to the East is the Quantock Hills.

Appliances and equipment
Lorna Doone Apartment kitchen is fitted with a fridge (with freezer compartment), washing machine, microwave, electric oven and hob.  Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses. A television (with Free-view) and DVD player is provided in the living room, wifi is available in the property too.

Electricity and heating
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Lorna Doone Apartment has a wall-mounted electric heater in the main living area which can be adjusted to suit your preferences.  This property is newly built and is well insulated.

Linen and towels
Bed linen, duvets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.

Other provisions
Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and surface cleaner will be present in the property.  One toilet roll will be provided.

Allocated off-road parking for one car is available in the car park outside.

Local amenities
The 'centre' of Watchet is approximately 1/4 mile from Lorna Doone Apartment.  There is a number of pubs, restaurants, take-aways and tea rooms, plus a grocery shop, post office, bank, and a range of individual shops such throughout the town. Some of the shops in Watchet open for extended hours during the summer season, conversely some also reduce their opening hours out of season.

Willtion is the next nearest town, approximately 2 miles from Lorna Doone Apartment, this is where the nearest petrol station is.  Minehead is approximately 7 miles away, here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison's are both situated on the outskirts of the town), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.

Arrival and departure
The property will be ready from 4 pm on the day of your arrival.  Please depart by 11 am on the last day of your stay. Please leave the property clean and tidy so that we can guarantee it will be ready on time for our next guests.

Changeover days
Lorna Doone Apartment is available for week breaks (Friday to Friday) during peak periods.  Short breaks may be available, please see our availability page for further details.
