Harbour House Apartment, Porlock Weir
As the name suggests, Harbour House is situated right next to the harbour at Porlock Weir and used to be the old harbour master's accommodation.

Harbour House Apartment is divided between two levels; on the first floor there is an open plan kitchen and dining area, a separate sitting room with French windows leading onto a balcony that overlooks the harbour, and a separate toilet. The bedrooms are located on the second floor - one double and one twin room,  plus a family bathroom (bath only with hand held shower attachment).

Due to its harbour-side location this property is unsuitable for children under 9.

Appliances and equipment
Harbour House kitchen is fitted with fridge-freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob, washing machine and tumble dryer.  Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses as well as hair dryer, iron and ironing board.  A television, DVD player and CD player is provided.  Wireless broadband is available throughout the property.

Electricity and heating
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Harbour House is fitted with night storage heaters.

Linen and towels
Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.

Other provisions
A small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available.
Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and surface cleaner will be present in the property.  One or two toilet rolls will be provided.

A designated car parking space is available for one car.  A large private (pay and display) car park is within a short distance for additional vehicles.

Outside the property
Harbour House has a balcony with table and chairs which is accessed via the sitting room.

Local amenities
Harbour House is situated in the middle of Porlock Weir.  There are two restaurants (The Cafe and Miller's at the Anchor), a pub (all three are dog-friendly) and a range of individual shops such as tea rooms, Exmoor Glass and Studio 7 (imported beautiful textiles).

The village of Porlock is approximately 1.5 miles from Harbour House and boasts three pubs, two grocery shops, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, petrol station, hardware shop, visitor centre and a range of independent shops and tea rooms.

Many of the shops in Porlock Weir and Porlock are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops also reduce their opening hours out of season.

Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 7 miles from The Stable Block.  Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison's are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.

Arrival and departure
The property will be ready from 4 pm on the day of your arrival.  Please depart by 10 am on the last day of your stay. Please leave the property clean and tidy so that we can guarantee it will be ready on time for our next guests.

Changeover days
Harbour House is available for week breaks (Friday to Friday) during peak periods.  Short breaks may be available at other times.  Please see our availability page for further details.
