TESDA Chief visits the Training-Cum-Production Projects of ASSAT

BUTUAN CITY, April 27 – After the ceremonial ground breaking ceremonies of the IP dormitory of Agusan Del Sur, TESDA’s Director General, Guiling “Gene” A. Mamondiong, visited the training-cum-production project sites of Agusan Del Sur School of Arts and Trades (ASSAT).

 


ASSAT is a recipient of the P4.5M Training-Cum-Production Project, which was done in three projects, Project 1- The completion of ASSAT Administration Building (Phase 1: Completion of Foundation, Columns, Beams, Tie Beams and Walling costing P1.5M and Phase 2: Roofing and Electrical Wiring Installation costing P800K), Project 2- Refurbishment/Completion of Concrete Covered Pathway to DAC Building costing P700K, and Project 3- Refurbishment/Completion of ASSAT Perimeter Fence costing P1.5M.

 


During his visit at the TTI, he also presented a total sum of 1,900 scholarship commitments to the Indigenous People- 100 slots each for Tile Setting NC II, Carpentry NC II, Masonry NC II, EIM NC II, Construction Painting NC II, Perform Manicure/Pedicure, Perform Hair Color/Bleaching, Perform Hair Perming/Straightening, Perform Hair Cutting Services, Service Consumer Electronic Product and System, Bread Making, Perform Gas Engine Tune-up, RAC Servicing, Pastry Making, Cake Making, Prepare and Cook Hot Meals and Prepare and Cook Cold Meals, and 50 slots each for SMAW NC II and Organic Agriculture Production NC II.



Being the only public technical vocational institution in Agusan del Sur, ASSAT has greatly contributed in the implementation of the province’s mission and goals to “improve the quality of life of Agusanons especially the marginalized sectors through effective, accountable and participatory governance in Mindanao” by giving access to quality and sustainable services.
