Floorball Canada Announcement

 

Dear Floorball Canada Members,

 

We are pleased to announce the election of a new Floorball Canada Board of Governors and Provincial Board of Governors. The goals of Floorball Canada are to build upon the foundation on the hard work and dedication of all Floorball Canada members of the past. Together we shall grow this exciting sport across Canada from the grass roots level to the Canadian National Teams. We invite all members and non-members of Floorball Canada to participate in the growth of Floorball and we look forward to passionate contribution.

 

Over the next months and year we will be dedicated to establishing new a framework to allow the expansion of Floorball at the grassroots level. We also will be focused on assisting the National Teams staffs and players in preparation in representing Canada at all domestic and international events.  As we grow it is the goal of the Floorball Canada to have an elected representative from every Province and Territory. We encourage any member or current non-member of Floorball Canada interested in helping shape this great game in Canada to step forward into those roles.

 

I would like to introduce the new members of the Board of Directors of Floorball Canada.

 

Marc Kronewitt -  Chairman

Marc Kronewitt experience in the Sport Entertainment and Media industries has taken him around the world and includes engagements with sport associations, leagues, teams, athletes, government agencies, international media companies, sport facilities, and sport entertainment event property owners. Marc received a BPE in Sport Administration from the University of Alberta in 1993 and has worked with national, provincial and local hockey and sport associations in various capacities over the past 20 years. 

 

As Co-founder and CEO of RAMP Management Group Inc. (2002) a licensed FIFA Agency, Marc developed a client list that included NHL, NBA, NFL, Footballers, Action Sport, and Olympic teams and athletes from four different continents.  Marc lead RAMP’s global growth strategy that includes operations in Lisbon, Portugal and Beijing, China.   Marc was the architect of RAMP Interactive, an on-line sport administration software development organization.  The RAMP Network has over 250 sport organization websites that generate 100 000 daily visitors in Canada.   Marc’s athletic accomplishments in hockey include 15 Alberta Provincial Championships, 3 Western Canadian and 1 National Championship.  Marc was inducted into the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame as a member the 1999 Stony Plain Eagles Allan Cup Champions in 2007.   As Chairmen of Floorball Canada Marc is charged with growing the game of Floorball across Canada.

 

Randy Sa’d – Vice Chairman

Randy Sa’d has worked as a Management Consultant since beginning his career, spending time with both multi-national and regional firms.  In 2007, Randy started his own consultancy, which he has grown in combination with several business ventures peripherally. Randy was a founder of Floorball Ontario and has resided as President since 2006.  Randy was introduced as President of Floorball Canada in 2008.  A three-time Team Canada representative and four-time Team Ontario representative, Randy is a committed member of the competitive floorball community.

 

Shane Malloy – Vice Chairman

Shane Malloy is an experienced columnist, broadcaster and hockey scout who has been covering hockey prospects, scouting and player development for the past decade. He is currently a co-host of Hockey Prospect Radio on Sirius XM Satellite Radio and author of The Art of Scouting published by John Wiley and Sons in 2011. He is also a scout and consultant on the NHL video game for Electronic Arts. Previously he has been a columnist for Rogers Sportsnet, TSN, Fox Sports and NHL.com.  He has experience in online athlete marketing and branding in consultation with Marc Kronewitt at the Ramp Network.

 

Greg Beaudin – IFF Central Board Representative

Greg Beaudin is an experienced entrepreneur with a sports marketing and technology background.  His company, Modern Hockey, was the first in North America to fuse Ice-Hockey and Floorball training, product development, branding and sport administration.  He was recently elected to the Central Board of the IFF, has been serving on the Board of Floorball Canada since 2007, and has grown the Sport of Floorball extensively throughout BC as President of the BC Floorball Federation.

 

Juha Mikkola – Ontario Representative

Juha Mikkola joins Floorball Canada with extensive floorball experience in North America. Juha is a co-founder of the Ontario Floorball/Unihockey Federation and former Executive Director. He is the co-General Manager of Team Canada's U-19 National Team and the founder and co-chair of the Canada Cup Floorball Championships, the largest floorball event outside of Europe. Juha is the President of FloorballPro, the importer of Salming floorball equipment and the official supplier to Floorball Canada.
