Canada Cup - IFF Development Clinics
We encourage everyone to attend these sessions - whether you are a floorball player, organizer, coach, referee or a parent. Learn more about floorball and bring this knowledge back to your local club and community to help develop the sport further. Download detailed information about the content of these sessions.
Registration is done online on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no charge for the sessions but non-players will need to purchase a ticket to enter the tournament site. To receive a formal certificate to prove completion of the course, partipants must complete all four courses in the stream of their choice and become a member of Floorball Canada for $10. Floorball Canada membership is NOT required to attend the sessions.
![]() Mr. John Liljelund has a vast experience of coaching in Floorball, he has during his 20 year experience coached the Finnish women’s and men’s U19 national teams, Finnish elite teams and during his employment in IFF he has focused on training male youth players born 1996 and now acts as the head coach for the age group in Finland. He has also played as a goalkeeper in the highest leagues in Finland and Sweden, participating in the EuroFloorball Cup John has taken a professional coaching exam organised by the Finnish Olympic Committee and has actively been a part of the coaching education of the Finnish Floorball Federation as a lecturer and developer. He has been the creator of the IFF Floorball Development Programme and its Seminars. During the Clinic John will be responsible for the Coaching instruction.
Janne Ögren: Mr. Jan (Janne) Ögren is an experienced Swedish elite referee and coach, who has been refereeing for over 20 years and has also worked as a coach in both elite teams and later in district teams in Sweden. Additionally he has a vast experience of educating both referees and coaches and has passed the highest Floorball coaching level in Sweden. Since the beginning of 2012 Janne works as the IFF Development Coordinator, with the task to support IFF member associations in their development and assist new countries develop the sport of Floorball. Janne has a fair knowledge of the development of Floorball and has seen it from both on and off the pitch and has a capability to explain the different phases of the game in a very concrete manner. He has additionally been building the Swedish Floorball Federations Coaching system. Janne will be responsible for Refereeing instruction.

Floorball Canada Annual General Meeting
April 16th, 2012 In accordance with the By-Laws of Floorball Canada this is an announcement that Floorball Canada’s Annual General Meeting will take place on Friday May 18th, 2012 at 3:00 pm EST in Toronto, Ontario. In accordance with the By-Laws of Floorball Canada notice be provided in writing to each member 30 days prior to the meeting: MEETINGS AND ELECTION OF DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS Floorball Canada The Corporation shall hold an annual meeting each year, within 60 days of the end of the fiscal year of which meeting due notice in writing shall be sent to the last known address of each member by electronic mail, regular mail or delivered to each member at least 30 days prior to the date of the meeting. At this meeting elections shall be held for any vacant board positions and the membership fee for the coming year shall be set. The Officers so elected shall be members of the Board, along with the Past President, and shall serve until their successors are elected and installed. Any vacancy occurring during the year shall be filled at the next meeting, provided it is so stated in the notice calling such meeting. A Provincial Representative is appointed by each respective Provincial member to be a Director on the Board. 2. The President, General Secretary and Treasurer positions are elected by the Provincial Representatives based on applications received by individual members. 3. Should there be a vacancy on the board for one of the Provincial Representatives, it is the responsibility of the Provincial Organization to appoint someone to fill the position within one (1) month of the vacancy or be subject to disciplinary action. 4. Any vacancy for the President, General Secretary, or Treasurer positions shall be filled after a search for a suitable replacement has been completed an approved by majority vote of the remaining voting members of the Board. 5. Board members may resign from the Board with written notice to the attention of the General Secretary, at least 1 week prior to the next scheduled Board Meeting. |
STAFF CALL FOR 2013 CANADA'S WOMEN'S NATIONAL TEAM
Canada’s Women's National Floorball Team is recruiting volunteers to fill the following staff positions: 1. General Manager 2. Assistant General Manager The team will compete against the United States in the World Floorball Championship Qualification in February 2013 and if successful, the Women's World Floorball Championships in December 2013. Please note team staff positions are volunteer positions and all staff members are responsible for covering the cost of their transportation, accommodation and all other expenses. Costs are estimated at $2400. Collective team efforts will be made to fundraise to reduce this cost. All applicants must have a valid passport, to expire on or after January 1, 2014. We are looking for passionate, dedicated individuals with strong leadership qualities that are serious about being part of a winning team. All members are expected to play significant roles to not only the team but also the development of the team starting as early as April 17th, with the entry of a development team into the Canada Cup. The GM and Assistant GM will be responsible to fill the following staff positions: 3. Head Coach 4. Assistant Coach 5. Trainer/Athletic Therapist 6. Equipment Manager Individuals interested in these positions may contact Floorball Canada and they will be connected with the GM/Assistant GM for an interview. Team Canada U19 Call for Staff
The National Development Teams Program of Floorball Canada is embarking on a journey to be an elite Floorball nation by 2018, and the U19 National Floorball Teams leading up to 2018 will form the foundation for the future Men's National Teams. Floorball Experience is welcomed, however the U19 program is seeking individuals who wish to grow and learn in a mentorship environment from GM and Coach leaders of our National Teams Program. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in professional sports management, sports marketing and elite level coaching.
