News From the Art Room


Kindergarten is creating "wild things" after hearing the story "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak

First Grade is learning about warm colors and cool colors and also creating stained glass window designs.

Second Grade is learning about Henri Rousseau and creating their own jungle pictures.

Third Grade is finishing up their Pop Art food which was inspired by the artist Claes Oldenburg. 

Fourth Grade is finishing their wire circus figures inspired by the work of Alexander Calder.

Fifth Grade is learning how to sew by making their own symbolic self portrait quilt square.

The Fine Arts Showcase Art Student of the Month

Emilee S. is The Fine Arts Showcase Art Student of the Month. 

She created a beautiful nature themed ceramic tile with a relief design.

The District Wide Student Art Exhibit Starts March 11 and is up through April 24. It's at the Kenosha Public Museum.
