New this year, RUSTCO now holds six positions known as Voting Members. These positions are specialized, and help RUSTCO to run the events the student body wants to see. Interested? Click on a link below to download the nomination package to run for each of these positions.
These positions are in addition to the positions of President, Senior Vice President, and Junior Vice President. As always, students who are not elected representatives are welcome at RUSTCO meetings held at lunch on Tuesdays in room 214.
Social Convener: the responsibility of the Social Convener is to propose, plan, and implement student activities at Runnymede Collegiate Institute. The Social Convener will be in charge of any activity the student body is looking for, such as dances, semi formals, or cafeteria events. This student running for this position should be an idea person, who is willing to listen to the ideas of others, and ensure RUSTCO is providing the activities that the student body wants to see.
Secretary: the responsibility of the Secretary is to keep RUSTCO meetings organized. The Secretary will be responsible for taking minutes in RUSTCO meetings, preparing final proposal drafts as needed, and preparing meeting agendas. The student running for this position should be very organized, and a good communicator.
Treasurer: the responsibility of the Treasurer is to keep track of the spending and money collection of RUSTCO. The Treasurer will be in charge of setting prices for events, collection of money, counting of money, and keeping a budget. The student running for this position should be responsible with money, and have good math skills.
Media Representative: the responsibility of the Media Representative will be to ensure that RUSTCO's voice is easily heard by the student body. The Media Representative will be in charge of RUSTCO social media feeds, announcements, and all other RUSTCO communications. The student running for this position should be well versed in the use of social media, and should be a good communicator.
Community Outreach Officer: the responsibility of the Community Outreach Officer will be to propose, plan, and implement any community events that RUSTCO will be part of. This might include charity work or whole-community events. The student running for this position should be creative, community minded, and good at organizing others.
Liaison Officer: the responsibility of the Liaison Officer will be to ensure that there is cooperation between groups within Runnymede Collegiate Institute. The Liaison Officer will chair Cabinet meetings, and keep up to date with the goings on of other groups in between Cabinet meetings. The student running for this position should be a good organizer, friendly, and open to asking questions.
