Saturday was a great day for the Trojan Terabytes team #11222.
The Sioux City Super Qualifier was held with 24 teams representing one-third of the state of Iowa.

During the qualifying matches, the team performed well with a few issues along the way to end up in 7th place going into the Alliance selection. The Terabytes were the first team selected by the #3 Alliance to compete in the semi-finals.

In the semis, the Terabytes and their Alliance partners defeated the #2 Alliance in 2 matches to advance to the finals.  The #3 Alliance with the Terabytes had two good matches but lost both to the #1 Alliance lead by the Team #10435 Circuitbreakers.

At the Awards ceremony, the Terabytes did very well picking up the following:
  • 3rd place for the Motivate Award for working to promote Robotics and helping to start others in robotics through camps and outreach.
  • 3rd place Think Award for Removing engineering obstacles through creative thinking. Making changes and improving efficiency during the season.
  • 3rd place INSPIRE AWARD - This represents the overall performance of the team based on Play on the field,  Judging interview presentation, Engineering Notebook, and Gracious Professionalism /outreach to others.
As a result of their awards and performance, the TERABYTES were the #3 team chosen to advance to the Iowa FTC Championship to be held February 22nd and 23rd in Iowa City.

Coaches Sidney Stowe and Quint Franke are very proud of how this team has grown and become very professional working with others.

GO TERABYTES!
