Geography
(from Greek γεωγραφία - geographia, lit. "earth describe-write") is the science that studies the lands, features, inhabitants, and phenomena of Earth. A literal translation would be "to describe or write about the Earth"

At St Kevin's College all students study Geography for their Junior Certificate. Many interesting and exciting topics are studied, examples include Rivers, the Sea, Weathering, Weather, Climates and a Junior certificate field study.

Those who enter TY have the opportunity to study different geographical modules and to experience a more detailed field study in preparation for the Leaving cert.

At Leaving Certificate level students can chose to study Geography. The field study accounts for approx. 20% of the final grade in Leaving certificate Geography. A large proportion of our students select Geography for the Leaving certificate as it is a very interesting and stimulating course.
