Is a Picture Worth a Thousand Words?
Comparing and Contrasting an American Novel and its Film Adaptation

Consider these resources as you work on this project.
TCA Library

Search TCA Library Catalog for your novel and resources about the author.  Be sure to consider both the Fiction section and the 800s.

After you have located print titles, click on the One Search tab next to the Titles tab.  Review the resources generated in the Library databases to see if any of them will help you.

Online Resources

Use Rotten Tomatoes to locate movie reviews.  Be sure to filter for Top Critics' reviews and click the link to go to the original review.
Check out the resources attached below to help you with the film analysis section of this project.

Public Libraries

Use the links to the left to visit your local public library.  Search for books, including other versions of your novel, literary criticism about the novel and the author, books about the film version, as well as the actors, director, and producer.

Remember that a book about American Literature or about film may contain information about your novel and film.

Login as a library patron so you can search the databases.  Search both general, interdisciplinary databases as well as specific literature and humanities databases.  You may also want to search newspaper and magazines for reviews of the film.
