Check out these helpful resources as you research your topic:
Begin with a general or specific encyclopedia to get a basic overview of your topic.
Look in the TCA Library Reference Section.
Use the TCA Library catalog to look for books about your topic. Be sure to log into your Library account so you can use all of the library's resources. Use your student number and last name to log in.
After you find books, from the Library Catalog search page, click on Destiny Discover. Search for your topic again. Besides the Library books, you see Digital, Databases, and Open Educational Resources. Click on those choices or scroll down and click on See All. Click on the links to go to the individual resources. Remember that ABC-Clio provides you with the MLA citation for each article.
Research Tip: You may need to unblock the pop-up blocker to see the results from ABC-Clio and Infobase. Click on the pop-up blocker icon in the web address bar and choose "always allow pop-ups"; then go back to TCA's Library's page and reload the database page.
Public Library Resources
Search your public library for more options. Use the links in the list on the left of this page.
Search the catalog for books about your topic. Be sure to use Advance Search to narrow the criteria.
Check out the history databases available with your library card. Consider these databases at Delaware County Library System (similar databases at other public libraries):
